Police Arrest Muslim Khilafatul Leaders In Lampung
JAKARTA - The police arrested the leader of the Khilafatul Muslimin group, Abdul Qadir Baraja. The arrests took place in the Lampung area.
"Yes, that's right (Abdul Qadir Baraja was arrested, ed)," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to VOI, Tuesday, June 7.
However, Zulpan has not yet detailed the location of Abdul Qadir Baraja's arrest.
So far, it has only been conveyed that the Polda Metro Jaya team is on its way to bring Abdul Qadir Baraja to Jakarta for further investigation.
"Currently, they are being taken to the Polda Metro Jaya," said Zulpan.
For information, Abdul Qadir Baraja's arrest is a follow-up to the handling of the viral case of a convoy of motorcyclists carrying posters and Khilafatul Muslimin flags while crossing the Cawang area, East Jakarta on Sunday, May 29.
Based on the testimony of residents of the group of motorcyclists, it is known that they had distributed leaflets while crossing Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.
