Muhadjir Says Coordinating Ministry For Human Development And Culture Is Guarding 2 National Priorities
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy revealed two national priorities that his party is currently guarding. The priority is contained in the government's work plan (RKP) for 2023.
Muhadjir conveyed this after a meeting with the Coordinating Ministers and the DPR's Budgetary Body to discuss the work plan and budget in the indicative ceiling of 2023.
"The two national priorities are increasing human resources as well as mental revolution and cultural development," said Muhadjir in a written statement, Monday, June 6.
Muhadjir explained that the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture has direct wedges in several other programs, such as strengthening infrastructure to support economic development and basic services as well as building the environment, increasing disaster resilience, and climate change.
"This is because the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture is also related to health programs such as sanitation services, provision of clean and drinking water, as well as disasters. In addition, BNPB is also under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture," he said.
Muhadjir also explained that the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture has seven focuses in supporting the targets and indicators of the 2023 RKP focus.
"The first focus is to accelerate the elimination of extreme poverty through a social security system strategy. Second, the acceleration of basic infrastructure development is carried out through a strategy of providing clean water and sanitation," he said, as quoted by Antara.
Third, encouraging the recovery of the business world is carried out through the MSME development strategy. Fourth, improving the quality of health and education human resources is carried out through the strategy of the health system, education system and character education.
Fifth, overcoming unemployment accompanied by an increase in "decent jobs" is implemented through a strategy of providing business fields.
Sixth, the protection of women is implemented through a strategy to increase the protection of women from violence and the seventh is a mental revolution.
Related to this, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture proposed an additional budget of Rp. 50 billion in the Banggar meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Banggar DPR, Said Abdullah.
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture said that the original budget ceiling of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture for 2023 was IDR 232,287,481,000.
"The proposed additional budget of Rp50 billion to strengthen the coordination program for policy implementation, as well as management support programs," he said.
Thus, the total addition to the entire budget from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture for the 2023 fiscal year is more than IDR 282 billion, or IDR 282,287,481,000.
Meanwhile, in a written statement from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, it was found that Banggar Chairman Said Abdullah tapped the hammer to signify his approval of all the proposed additions to the budget ceiling after previously obtaining approval from all members of the council.
