BPJS Health Participants In Four Bengkulu Regencies In Arrears Of IDR 50.5 Billion

JAKARTA - The Curup branch of the Health Social Security Administering Body (BPJS), which oversees four districts in Bengkulu Province, stated that the monthly fee arrears for independent participants in the region reached IDR 50.5 billion.

Head of the Curup branch of the BPJS Health Office, Novi Kurniadi, said the arrears from the contributions of the BPJS Health independent participants were spread over four districts, namely Rejang Lebong, Kepahiang, Lebong, and North Bengkulu Regencies.

"The independent participants who are in arrears in contributions come from four districts with a total of 66,750 people. The total arrears of independent participants in these four districts reached IDR 50,519,474,533," Novi said quoting Antara, Sunday, June 5.

He explained that the independent participants who were in arrears from this fee ranging from 1 to 24 months, with the highest number in the North Bengkulu Regency reaching IDR 24,656,851,915, with 33,893 people in arrears.

Furthermore, in the Kepahiang Regency area, it was IDR 12,880,701,913, with 17,000 participants in arrears.

While in Lebong Regency there were 8,479 people with a total bill of IDR 6,072,229,050. As well as in the Rejang Lebong Regency area as many as 7,378 people with a total bill of IDR 6,909,691,655.

To reduce the number of arrears of these independent participants, he added, they continue to make collection efforts, then socialize the Gradual Payment Plan (Rehab) program to ease the payment of arrears.

With this program, BPJS Health participants who are late in paying their bills can pay their arrears in installments or in installments.
