New Technology Air Pollution Filter Filter Tool Can Overcome Viruses Up To 0.0024 Micron Particles
JAKARTA - Air pollution is an uncontrollable problem in urban areas, especially on public roads, public facilities and even inside homes.
Air pollution is large, such as sand, to small, microscopic, such as viruses and bacteria. Dirt can stick to a number of items in the house. It is very dangerous when inhaled by humans.
"On average every day we breathe 11,000 liters of air and not all the air we breathe is clean air," said Tri Susandari as Durables Product Manager Amway Indonesia, Sunday, June 5.
Pollutants and contaminants are harmful to the body. Unknowingly, he continued, there is air that is inhaled contaminated with particles and contaminants enter the breath along with oxygen.
Each particle that is inhaled is different in size. The smaller the size, the easier it will be to penetrate the body.
Tri Susandari explained, some viruses that are often encountered everyday are influenza or flu. The flu is a viral infection that attacks the nose, throat and lungs. This condition is caused by a different type of virus. This virus is highly contagious and can be spread through saliva splashes.
"The size of the influenza virus is 0.098 microns," he said.
Rhinovirus can cause cough and cold. This virus has 90 types. Transmission by direct contact through breathing.
"The size of this virus is very small, which is 0.023 microns," he said.
Then the Hepatitis A virus or HAV is a virus measuring 0.033 microns. Adenoviruses are a group of viruses that cause infections in the respiratory tract. This virus is 0.0793 microns in size.
Then the Corona virus or severe acute respirator syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). This virus is 0.113 microns in size. Transmission is through splashes of saliva when coughing and sneezing.
In order to overcome air pollution and exposure to small virus particles, air purification can be carried out using atmosphere air treatment system technology that uses HEPA class 13 (H13) technology to produce clean air.
H13 is a type of filter with medical standards such as those found in medical laboratories and hospitals.
"The HEPA H13 filter reduces more than 300 pathogens and particulates such as viruses, pollen, mites, fungi, bacteria, dust, smoke, household animal allergens down to sizes as small as 0.0024 microns," he said.
