ASN Required To Use Local Products, This Is Bogor Mayor Bima Arya's Cool Style
BOGOR - Bogor City Government ASN are required to wear clothing made by local products, aka SMEs. This rule is stipulated through Mayor Regulation No. 30 which requires ASN to wear clothes made of local products on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
"Through the Mayor's Regulation, all ASN in Bogor City are required to use local products," said Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto last week.
Bima emphasized that the regulation aims to revive the local community's economy after being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The local clothes that must be worn by Bogor City ASN are not products that already exist in shopping centers such as malls, but products that are still produced by local MSMEs.
"Yes, we encourage local products. Not from local products that have entered the department store, have entered the mall, no. But really local products," he said.
The PAN politician emphasized that in Perwali Number 30 of 2022, every Tuesday he wears local products, Thursdays he wears traditional Sundanese Pangsi clothes, and on Fridays he wears batik or ethnic clothing.
"If an ASN spends a minimum of IDR 500 thousand, there will be a turnover of IDR 3.5 billion," he said.
On the bimaaryasugiarto Instagram account, the Mayor of Bogor uploaded an appearance with a local brand. Starting from Bloods glasses for IDR 170 thousand, Skate Sunday shirts for IDR 170 thousand, Yolby watches for IDR 250 thousand and Champs shoes for IDR 215 thousand.
There is also the Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A Rachim, wearing a hat, shirt and local brand shoes. The price range is from Rp. 125 thousand to Rp. 215 thousand.
Head of Bogor City Satpol PP Agustian Syach also appeared in sweaters, pants and local brand shoes. For shoes, Agustian chose Ventela for Rp. 200 thousand.
With this local brand regulation, Bima Arya believes that ASN's cash turnover is estimated at up to IDR 3.5 billion for shopping for local products.
"That number has not been calculated for Friday, namely batik," said Bima Arya.
