A Condition That Must Be Fulfilled By Formula E If You Want To Get Support From PDIP

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, stated that his party is ready to support the Formula E event on Saturday, June 4 in Ancol, North Jakarta.

However, Gembong still gave conditions to the organizers, namely the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro). The requirement is transparency in the use of the budget for organizing the race.

"We support it on the condition that there is transparency in budget allocations. Because what is used is still the APBD with regional capital participation (PMD) to Jakpro," Gembong told reporters, Tuesday, May 31.

In addition, Gembong also emphasized that Jakpro should organize this electric car race with careful budget planning, both in utilizing PMD and using sponsorship fees.

Gembong said that the way the DPRD could monitor the use of the budget for the implementation of Formula E was through the right of interpellation.

"We support it on the condition that it is openness, financial management and we support it on condition that it is not blind. That is through interpellation," said Gembong.

Gembong even invited all parties to participate in the success of this racing event. So, these activities can be sustainable.

Moreover, the implementation of Formula E Jakarta is a step for the energy transition campaign. "We hope this is sustainable. If it is not sustainable, we will lose," he said.

"Let's make it a success together. God willing, we'll be together as long as it's done in a good way, I think it's good. I think all elements of Jakarta's society will provide strong support and support," Gembong added.

For information, Formula E Jakarta or Jakarta E-Prix will be held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) Ancol on Saturday, June 4. Currently, tickets to watch the electric car race have been sold.
