Only Victims Of Drug Trafficking, Naughty Gary Iskak Undergoes Rehabilitation
JAKARTA - Gary Iskak will undergo rehabilitation after being arrested on suspicion of drug abuse. According to the West Java Regional Police Head of Humas, Kombes Pol. Ibrahim Tompo, Gary concluded as victims in the abuse of narcotics type methamphetamine in that case.
On that basis, he said, Gary and four other people have now been transferred to the West Java National Narcotics Agency (BNN). "On May 25, an assessment of the suspects was carried out," said Ibrahim at the Drug Investigation Directorate of the West Java Police, Bandung City, West Java, Monday, May 30.
Ibrahim said that Gary was a long-time quit user. However, recently he relapsed and reused the prohibited item.
"It requires rehabilitation treatment with outpatient services and is required to report," said Ibrahim as quoted by ANTARA.
In addition, Gary is also seen as only a user, not a suspect involved with narcotics trafficking networks.
"So, it is deemed necessary to carry out treatment in the form of rehabilitation in accordance with the conclusions of the assessment results from the medical team," he said.
This, he said, has been regulated in Article 56 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Gary will be rehabilitated at a facility owned by BNN.
Meanwhile, Gary Iskak and four other people with the initials TR, DW, AR, and SP on Monday, May 23. Gary was arrested in the Ciwastra area, Bandung City, West Java.
At the location of the arrest, he said, evidence was found in the form of two methamphetamine suction devices, then a match and a plastic clip used for shabu-shabu packaging.
