Governor Of Bali Hands Over Land Certificates To Tanjung Benoa Residents After Polemic Land Issues Since 1920
BADUNG - Bali Governor Wayan Koster handed over land certificates to residents of Tanjung Benoa, Badung Regency, who have been experiencing agrarian problems by not getting a clear land status since 1920.
Koster said it did not take long to deal with agrarian problems in Tanjung Benoa.
"Land certificates for residents of the Tanjung Benoa Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency were handed over as many as 90 land parcels with a total area of 21,455 square meters," he said accompanied by the Head of the Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) of Bali Province, Ketut Mangku. , May 30.
Koster said that since receiving information from community leaders, he immediately coordinated with the Head of the Bali Province BPN Regional Office and the Badung Regency BPN Regional Office Head to resolve this issue.
The governor issued a letter dated April 18, 2022. "I ask Mr. Kanwil BPN Bali to immediately process the certificate. Try counting from April 18, 2022 and now on May 30, 2022, meaning that this problem is less than a month away and the land certificate is given for free," he said.
Governor Koster asked the Head of BPN Bali not to collect even one rupiah from the people in Tanjung Benoa.
Kosteer also immediately asked the residents of Tanjung Benoa about whether there were those who had promised to get a certificate and had to pay money.
Meanwhile, residents who have obtained land certificates in Tanjung Benoa are asked to maintain the certificate as well as possible, not to be mortgaged and sold or converted.
"But it must be inherited from generation to generation to the next generation, so it doesn't pass to someone else," he said.
In addition to housing, the land is also expected to be a family economic generator by innovating to open a shop on their respective lands.
"Remember this is a full policy that I took with a sincere and straight attitude. There is no interest whatsoever and I am very happy that I can resolve this issue," he said.

Meanwhile, Ketut Tami Wijaya (71), a resident from Banjar Tengah Tanjung Benoa who is also a former cultural tour guide, said that the land he occupies is 1.4 acres.

He also admitted that previously someone had promised that within eight months they would get a land certificate at the expense of more than IDR 20 million in 1997.
Wayangantil Artana (57), another resident said that he had occupied 4.50 acres of land for a long time and experienced the same thing as Ketut Tami Wijaya, many who came promising land certificates with various people.
"Nearly Rp13 million I spent to get a land certificate in 1992," he said.
