Ombudsman Ready To Investigate Alleged Sale And Purchase Of Positions In Central Sulawesi Provincial Government
PALU - The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia is ready to be involved in investigating the alleged practice of buying and selling echelon three and four positions within the Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Provincial Government at the inauguration on April 28, 2022.
The investigation is carried out if the investigation team formed by the Governor of Central Sulawesi Rusdy Mastura does not convey to the public the results of the investigation that has been carried out since May 7, 2022 or the investigation process that has been carried out is only ongoing or even stopped without success.
"We hope that the public or one of the officials who will be appointed in the inauguration, but he will not be appointed to report to the Ombudsman. We will maintain the confidentiality of the reporter's identity," said Commissioner of Ombudsman RI Representative of Central Sulawesi M. Rus'an Yasin in Palu, Monday 30 May. He stated that the entrance of the Ombudsman can carry out inspections and investigations only if there are people or state civil servants (ASN) within the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government who know and have evidence of alleged practice of buying and selling positions and reporting officially to the Ombudsman.
"The Ombudsman's authority is to ask for clarification from the reporter and the reported parties. Then examine and carry out an investigation. After that we will report to the governor the results of the examination and investigation," he said, quoted by Antara.
Currently, said Rus'an, the Indonesian Ombudsman Representative for Central Sulawesi is still holding back from being involved in uncovering the alleged practice of buying and selling positions within the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government because he appreciates those who are currently working, including the police and the Attorney General's Office, who intervened. he hopes that the process of examining and investigating the case will run to completion and will not run in place, especially until it is stopped without any results.
"The ombudsman will enter if an investigation has not been carried out or the investigation is stopped. Normatively, it is. If there are law enforcement officers who have intervened, the ombudsman cannot enter," he said.
The Governor of Central Sulawesi Rusdy Mastura formed an investigation team to investigate whether or not the practice of buying and selling echelon three and four positions occurred on the inauguration of 28 April 2022. The investigation team involving the Central Sulawesi Provincial Inspectorate, Central Sulawesi Provincial Secretary, and the authorized official moved quickly to investigate the case.
The goal, he said, is to immediately respond to things that are developing and disturbing the vision and mission of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government to carry out bureaucratic reform.
Rusdy emphasized that anyone who is proven to be involved in the practice of buying and selling positions will be dealt with firmly in accordance with the laws and regulations of the state civil apparatus (ASN) and other regulatory provisions.
