Refuting Observer's Analysis Of Megawati's Absence At Jokowi's Sister's Wedding, PDIP Politician: Pak Jokowi And Bu Mega No Problem
JAKARTA - The absence of PDIP Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri at the wedding of President Joko Widodo's sister, Idayati, and the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman was highlighted by political observers.
Political observers analyzed Megawati's absence with speculation that the relationship between the leadership of the white muzzled bull party and Jokowi was strained.
Responding to the political observer's analysis, PDIP politician Arteria Dahlan said there were several party elites who attended the sacred event. It's just that, said Arteria, it is still limited due to the conditions in the middle of the pandemic.
"Those who can attend, attend, those who are still on duty to guard the RKA/KL, in this COVID-19 condition, they are very limited in interacting outside," said Arteria at the DPR building, Monday, May 30.
Meanwhile, the PDIP chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri who was absent at the wedding ceremony of President Jokowi's sister, Arteria said that it was not something that should be debated. Because, so far, the relationship between the two has not been a problem.
"So it's not something that shows that there is a problem between Pak Jokowi and PDIP, with Megawati Soekarnoputri. There is no problem," said Arteria.
Previously, observers of political communication at Paramadina University Hendri Satrio, assessed that Megawati did not want her country's politics to be colored by the practice of collusion and nepotism.
The reason is that the marriage involves two high state institutions, where the Constitutional Court has the authority to decide on lawsuits made by the government and the DPR that are submitted by the community.
"The absence of Mrs. Mega at the wedding of her sister, Mr. Jokowi and the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, means that Mrs. Mega does not agree with the potential for collusion and nepotism," said Hendri in Jakarta, Friday, May 30.
However, the founder of the Indonesian Public Opinion Discussion and Study Group (KedaiKOPI) is reluctant to further analyze the current relationship between Megawati and Jokowi. Because Hendri said, this is a personal matter.
"About whether or not the relationship between Mega and Jokowi at this time, let them talk, it's already big," he said.
