Son Of The Chairman Of The Badung Bali DPRD Arrested For Drug Cases, But Not Shown When Case Releases

DENPASAR - The Denpasar, Bali Police Team has arrested the son of the chairman of the Badung Regency DPRD, Bali, Putu Nova (34) for a drug case. The perpetrator had marijuana weighing 495 grams.

The perpetrator who works as a lawyer was arrested on Jalan Alam Sari, Padangsambian, West Denpasar, Bali, Saturday (14/5). But the police did not show Putu Nova when the case was released.

"The evidence is 495 grams. The status of possessing and using it for further development is asking for time from investigators," said Denpasar Deputy Chief of Police AKBP I Wayan Jiartana, Monday, May 30.

The perpetrator was caught after his colleague with the initials S (31) was first arrested on Jalan Uma Gunung, Sempidi, Badung Regency, Bali.

"The capacity in question (Putu Nova) as a suspect in this case we are processing. The person concerned as a profession as a lawyer or lawyer for further development is still treated as a suspect. So there is no difference," he said.

His party said the son of the chairman of the Badung DPRD bought marijuana for personal consumption. "For the motive, use for personal," he added.

Meanwhile, the Denpasar Police Narcotics Head, AKP Mirza Gunawan, said the arrest of the perpetrators began with community reports. It has not been explained how long the child of the chairman of the Badung DPRD has consumed marijuana.

"The arrest was carried out by the West Denpasar Police. Because the Sector Police did not handle drugs, it was handed over to the Denpasar Police. There was a report from the community and it was received by the Denbar Police and turned over and made an arrest," said AKP Mirza.

"There is another (perpetrator) with the initials S and developed directly into N and efforts have been made by the Denbar Police and we have received such evidence. He bought it, it is still being developed and has been detained," he continued.

The son of the chairman of the Badung DPRD was charged with Article 111 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
