Malaysian RNF Racing Team Turns Hearts To Aprilia, Yamaha: It's Never Good To End Relationship

JAKARTA - The Yamaha factory's relationship with the Malaysian team, RNF Racing, in MotoGP is coming to an end. Starting next season, the RNF will switch to an Aprilia Racing satellite team.

This RNF decision makes Yamaha will not have a satellite team next season. This is recognized by the director of Yamaha Motor Racing, Lin Jarvis, is not an ideal situation.

"Yamaha has always had a satellite team, as far as I remember, we always had more than two bikes on the grid. Of course it's never good to have to end a cooperative relationship," said Lin Jarvis in an interview with MotoGP.

Lin Jarvis admitted that he was a little surprised by the decision. However, Yamaha respects the steps taken by the RNF.

The British man said his team would move on from this condition. He said, there are things that can be learned from the RNF decision.

Lin Jarvis emphasized that there will only be two Yamaha motorbikes on the grid in MotoGP 2023. There is no chance for the Tala Fork team to find a replacement for the RNF.

"All teams have contracts with manufacturers, so there is no chance. But that's not a problem for us," he said.

"Now we are focused and dedicated to making our bike even better and competing for the championship," continued the Yamaha Motor Racing boss.
