Bulog Ensures Rice Stock In Southeast Sulawesi Is Safe For The Next 6 Months
KENDARI - The Logistics Affairs Agency (Bulog) of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Office said that currently the stock of rice in the Bulog warehouse is recorded at 12,000 tons, so that it can be fulfilled in the next six months.
"The stock of rice that we control up to now is 12 thousand tons. We have absorbed from the early harvest season until now, we have mastered 12,000 tons," said Head of Bulog, North Sulawesi Regional Office, Mardati, in Kendari, Saturday, May 28.
So, according to him, the stock is safe because the average community's rice needs range from 1,000 to 2,000 tons, so this rice is safe for the next six months. Safe, including ahead of Eid al-Adha 2022.
The Bulog Regional Office of Southeast Sulawesi targets to buy 25,000 tons of rice from farmers by 2022. Bulog through partners in production centers, buys farmers' rice based on the government's decision for IDR 8,300 per kilogram or the same as in 2021.
The standard for the quality of rice purchased by Bulog is the water content of 14 percent at the highest, the polishing degree at least 95 percent and the broken grain at the highest 20 percent.
