Families Of Dead Victims Ask Police To Be Transparent About The Perpetrators Of Serial Accidents At MT Haryono

JAKARTA - The families of the victims who died asked the police to be more transparent in revealing the perpetrators regarding the incident of a series of accidents that claimed two lives in MT. Haryono, Pancoran, South Jakarta, May 25, yesterday.

The victims who died were a husband and wife (couple) named, Raka Prayogo Putra (25) and Nova Kharisma (21).

"Ask for transparency from the police, the police must be more open to perpetrators," said Riki Priyanto (31) as Raka's brother when met at the funeral home, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Thursday, May 25.

To note, the police have arrested a Mitsububshi Pajero driver with the initials J (23) for the cause of a series of accidents that took the lives of others.

Kasi Laka Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Edy Purwanto said that for now J is still under investigation by the police. This is done to find out the true incident of the deadly event.

He also added that currently the Pajero driver has been tested for urine. In order to find out whether the perpetrator driving was affected by alcohol or drowsiness.

"We did a urine test last night at Kramat Jati Hospital, (East Jakarta), but the results are still not there," said Edy to reporters, South Jakarta, Thursday, May 26.

Previously, it was reported that Kokoy (41), one of the survivors of the accident, explained that the incident occurred on Wednesday, May 25, at 20.00 WIB.

The accident started when a Mitsubishi Pajero car passed from Cawang to Pancoran.

"Initially the Pajero stopped at a position 200 meters from behind here (in front of the Green Tower)," said Kokoy.

After that, the taxi car that Kokoy was driving was suddenly rammed from behind by the Pajero.

"Not long after that there was a scream, I didn't know the motorbikes were hit by the Pajero driver. Not long after, my car was rammed into," he continued.

He added that the traffic situation on the road was jammed. Later, five motorbikes were involved in the accident.

"Traffic conditions were jammed, the Pajero was fast. The motorbikes were crushed by my car too, one motorbike was crushed, many were injured and some died," he concluded.
