Isyana Sarasvati And Gamaliel Tapiheru Re-Singing What's Up With Love, Genius Hits The Heart

JAKARTA - The song Ada Apa dengan Cinta was popular when it became the original sound track for the film with the same title in 2002. The song can be called one of Melly Goeslow's best works. Now Isyana Sarasvati and Gamaliel Tapiheru are singing the song again.

Through uploads on their personal Instagram accounts, Isyana and Gamaliel expressed their gratitude to Melly Goeslaw who had given them the space to arrange and sing the song again.

"Thank you teh @melly_goeslaw for trusting us to give us free space to arrange and sing back one of Teh Melly's legendary works," Isyana wrote, quoted Wednesday, May 25.

"This time we were given the opportunity to re-arrange a legendary work that is very sacred for both of us (and for many people of course). Thank you for the trust, @melly_goeslaw. This will be an experience in my musical career that I will never forget," wrote Gamaliel .

Melly Goeslaw also praised Isyana and Gamaliel's version of the song Ada Apa With Cinta as a genius work. He admitted that he was amazed at the point of view of the two musicians on the song.

"Lost all words when listening to this song sung by @isyanasarasvati and @gamaliel, I can only say your version is 'genius', I am too amazed by your point of view on this song. Thank you," wrote Melly Goeslaw on her Instagram .

The latest version of the song Ada Apa dengan Cinta, which was arranged by Isyana and Gamaliel, seems even more majestic and dramatic with piano, synthesizer, strings, violin, and cello accompaniment. With the new music, this song hits the listener's heart even more.

Isyana and Gamaliel have previously performed duets on several songs, such as Terpesona, which was released in 2017. In addition, both of them were also chosen by Disney Indonesia to perform the song A Whole New World, which is the theme song for the film Aladdin.
