In Front Of The Secretary General Of The United Nations, The National Police Ensures That 91 Command Centers Are Ready To Provide Disaster Management And Security
JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the facilities and features at the ITDC Command Center were built according to standards to support the security of international events, community activities and tourism.
The statement was conveyed to the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nation, Mrs. Amina J Mohhamed who checked the completeness of the facilities and features to support the security of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) and the management of monitoring natural disasters in Bali.
"And the function of the Command Center can be transferred to a management and monitoring system as well as natural disasters, earthquakes and tsunamis if they occur in Bali," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, Wednesday, May 25.
In his presentation, Dedi also said that the construction of this facility was to increase synergy with related stakeholders. Thus, a disaster management system and an integrated security system can be formed properly.
"Completing the infrastructure that is tailored to the needs. Making SOPs together through TTX and TFG," said Dedi.
Then, the Police together with related parties also held training and simulations. The goal is to strengthen coordination and cooperation between agencies and stakeholders.
After the presentation was completed, the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations who took over as the speaker appreciated the construction of the Command Center. In fact, ITD's 91 Command Center is said to be a pilot security system for other countries.
"So the UN will use the 91 Command Center ITDC as an example of making Command Center facilities for disaster management systems in countries around the world under UNDRR," said Dedi.
