On A Whim, Middle-aged Man Was Arrested By Residents After Touching A Woman's Thigh At JPO Kuningan

JAKARTA - A woman with the initials N became a victim of sexual harassment by a middle-aged man at a pedestrian bridge (JPO), Kuningan, South Jakarta.

N said the incident occurred on Sunday night, May 22. The incident started when the victim was crossing the JPO from West Kuningan to East Kuningan.

"Suddenly, when he passed (the perpetrator), his father grabbed this part (thigh)," said N when confirmed, Monday, May 23.

N also said that after experiencing the harassment, he immediately shouted to attract the attention of those around him. As a result, the perpetrators were arrested by residents and handed over to the Setiabudi Police.

"Nothing (lost items). I just grabbed hold of my thigh," he said.

Contacted separately, the Head of the Setiabudi Metro Police, Kompol Agung Permana confirmed the incident. Now the man has been handed over to the South Jakarta Metro Police.

"Secured at the Setiabudi Police. (But) the perpetrator has been handed over to the Resort Police. Because the PPA is at the Resort Police." the lid.
