NTT Police Chief Orders Collaborative Security For The Visit Of The Indonesian President
LABUAN BAJO - NTT Police Chief Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto ordered Ende Police personnel to increase security collaboration in preparation for the visit of Indonesian President Joko Widodo on June 1, 2022 in Ende Regency, NTT.
"We must not take it lightly. Everyone must collaborate in security activities, including the Police, the TNI, and the regional government," said NTT Police Chief Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto in a statement received in Labuan Bajo, reported by Antara, Sunday, May 22.
Considering that the security activities for the presidential visit are joint security, the NTT Regional Police Chief emphasized the security measures carried out by militants. The officers must also coordinate and cooperate with the person in charge of other agencies involved in the security.
The NTT Police Chief asked the Ende Police to increase focus and vigilance on everyone present, including suspicious people. The security activities for the president's visit must be carefully and well prepared.
During his visit to Ende to review security preparations, Saturday, the NTT Police Chief was involved in a meeting with all Ende Police personnel. On that occasion, he gave various directions to make the president's visit a success and carry out total security so that the visit would run smoothly. The location points include Ende Pancasila Square, Bung Karno Reflection Park, Ende Ikat Weaving Museum, Bung Karno Site, and Ende Mbongawani Market.
The NTT Police Chief advised that the personnel involved in the security carry out all the security duties properly and correctly in order to maintain credibility as members of the National Police.
The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, is scheduled to act as Inspector of the Commemoration Ceremony of the Birthday of Pancasila on June 1, 2022 in Ende Regency.
