Viral Patrick Vieira's Action Kicks Everton Fans After Crystal Palace Loses, Punishment Awaits

JAKARTA - Crystal Palace coach Patrick Vieira has gone viral on social media because his act of kicking an Everton fan was caught on camera. The incident occurred after the Palace vs Everton match at Goodison Park on Friday, May 20 in the morning WIB.

Based on a short video uploaded on Sky Sport's Twitter account, the Crystal Palace coach looked emotional after his team's 2-3 defeat to Everton. The anger peaked when Vieira, who was in the middle of the field, was followed by opposing supporters.

Vieira's emotions were ignited after this fan raised his hand towards the coach's face. Whereas initially Vieira did not react when the fan took a video using a mobile phone.

However, the former Arsenal captain immediately showed another reaction when the fan's hand went to his face. Vieira grabbed the fan, kicked the fan to the ground.

"Patrick Vieira has been caught on camera in an altercation with an Everton fan on the pitch at Goodison Park during tonight's pitch invasion," Sky Sport captioned the video.

Seeing Vieira's action, other supporters helped push the 45-year-old coach. Luckily, the commotion didn't last long because there were spectators to defuse the situation.

An Everton supporter who carried a child on his shoulder even pulled Vieira and tried to keep away the Toffees fans who still wanted to fight Vieira.

Quoted from The Guardian, Vieira was asked about this incident but he was reluctant to give any comment. However, on the other hand, the Premier League seems to be still punishing Vieira and Everton for the incident.

Thousands of Everton fans are known to have taken to the field after their favorite team beat Palace 3-2. Whereas previously the hosts had left behind two goals first.

The victory over Palace was greeted with cheers by the supporters because Everton are certain to stay in the Premier League next season.
