Police Steps To Investigate Bombing At The Embassy Of The Republic Of Belarus

JAKARTA - The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Jakarta received a terror bomb threat. A series of investigation steps were carried out by the police in order to uncover the various things behind the terrorist acts.

The terror act that occurred on Wednesday, May 18, started from the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus received an email. The content is a threat.

Not yet known for sure the entire contents of the email. However, from the information received, the figure who sent the email asked for the war between Russia and Ukraine to be ended immediately.

The police who received a report of a terror attack immediately took action. Sweeping around the location of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus was carried out. However, no bombs or explosives were found.

Thus, the process of handling acts of terror has shifted to the figure of the terror spreader. Originally, someone named Ivan Ivanof was widely heard as the culprit.

However, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Grand Commissioner E. Zulpan, who was mentioned the name, refused to agree. He only said that currently the identity of the perpetrator has been mapped.

"It's been done (profiled, ed)," said Zulpan to reporters, Thursday, May 19.

The identity of the perpetrator was mapped based on several evidences and clues. One of them is the email address used when spreading the terror bombs.

"Yes, of course, we will see this later, right, we already know the source of the threat from which account," said Zulpan.

Involve Densus 88

In fact, to investigate this terror act, the National Police deployed Densus 88 Anti-terror. The goal is that the person who spread the threat can be immediately revealed.

"If (element, red) terror later Densus will investigate and back up the area," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo.

The involvement of Densus 88 is also to look for evidence and clues regarding the identity of the terror actor named Ivan Ivanof.

However, it is not detailed about the progress of the results of the investigation of the case to date.

"Polda and Densus are investigating the case," said Dedi.
