Wow! Giring Ganesha's Subordinates, Anies Baswedan's Infiltration Well Value Adapts The Septic Tank Concept For Residents
JAKARTA - PSI Spokesperson Sigit Widodo criticized the efforts of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemrov) which planned to buy drain pumps to maintain infiltration wells.
In fact, infiltration wells are a concept for DKI Governor Anies Baswedan to put rainwater into the ground to prevent flooding. Giring Ganesha's subordinate also admitted that he couldn't understand why he was using a drain pump.
"The absorption well should function to absorb rainwater to be put into the ground and reduce flooding," said Sigit through his Twitter account, @sigitwid, Thursday 19 May.
With the procurement of the drain pump, Sigit assessed that infiltration wells to deal with flooding in Jakarta are currently adopting a concept such as a septic tank.
The difference lies in the extravagant cost of maintaining infiltration wells. This is because, he said, the septic tanks used by residents usually only need to be vacuumed every few years, while the DKI Provincial Government infiltration wells will be drained more often considering the intensity of rain in Jakarta at certain times.
"If the water in it has to be sucked in with a pump, it will look like a septic tank. Even a septic tank only needs to suck the toilet every few years," said Sigit.
Previously, the DKI Provincial Government through the Jakarta Water Resources Service (SDA) had planned to purchase a drain pump to maintain infiltration wells. The maintenance of the infiltration wells will later be handed over to the department of each relevant region.
The number of infiltration wells throughout DKI Jakarta Province is known to reach 24 thousand points.
