Swimming At Cibobos Beach Banten, 4 Minors Dragged By The Current: 2 Survived, 1 Dead, 1 Missing
LEBAK - Pangarangan Police, Lebak Resort Police, are still searching for an underage boy who was swept away by the waves at Cibobos Beach, Karangkamulyan Village, Lebak Regency.
The inspection was carried out by the Head of the Panggarangan Police, IPTU Suherli Setiawan, the Head of the Panggarangan Police, accompanied by the Panggarangan Danramil, BPDB Lebak, Basarnas and local residents.
Iptu Suherli Setiawan said the sea accident caused the victim to drown and it was suspected that he was dragged by the ocean currents while swimming on the beach.
"We immediately came to the scene to provide assistance and search for victims who were suspected of drowning due to being dragged by ocean currents," said Suherli via text message, Thursday, May 19.
Suherli explained that his party received information from the head of the Nurrohman Islamic Boarding School group who was resting at Karang Beureum Beach.
"As many as 11 people from Nurrohman Islamic Boarding School are traveling on Cibobos Beach, including 7 people grilling fish and 4 others swimming at Cibobos Beach," said Suherli.
The 4 swimmers were RK (13), GP (13), AD (11) and HN (13). The victim had previously been advised not to swim, but they ignored it and continued their desire to swim.
Not long after, the four people were carried away. However, GP was able to save himself, while RK was rescued by local residents, then HN was found at around 15.50 and immediately taken to the Public Health Center. But unfortunately his life was not saved. HN finally died.
"We are still trying to find AD victims who were swept away by ocean currents," said Suherli.
