Kendari Police Coordination With City Government Regarding Cost Of Arrow Slingshot Victims
KENDARI - The Kendari Police in Southeast Sulawesi will coordinate with the local government about the costs if there are victims of the arrow slingshot gang.
Kendari Police Chief Kombes Muhammad Eka Farurrahman said that his party is currently collecting data on the victims and will immediately coordinate with the local government.
"We will take an inventory of all victims and will coordinate with the city government, so that the city government can pay for the hospital," he said, on the sidelines of revealing the group of arrow slingshots that disturbed residents in Kendari, Antara, Wednesday, May 18.
In the period from January to mid-May 2022, the police have uncovered 26 street criminal cases, eight of which were cases of using a slingshot.
"Regarding cases where the victims experienced arcing, there are eight cases that we have handled recently," he said.
The police will continue to increase patrols and surveillance at several points which are suspected to be prone to arrows and other street crimes.
Patrols and supervision are carried out by the Kendari Police in order to realize kamtibmas, especially in the Kendari City area which lately has often been criminalized using arrow slingshots on the streets.
"We will continue to carry out patrols in the future until Kendari is really conducive," he said.
