Ragunan Visitors Reached 31,206 People
JAKARTA - Visitors to the Ragunan Wildlife Park, South Jakarta reached 31,206 during the holiday to coincide with Vesak Day.
"The number of visitors decreased from the previous day, which was Sunday (15/5) by 38,579 people. Meanwhile, as of 17:00 WIB, it could reach 31,206 people," said Public Relations of Ragunan Wildlife Park, Bambang Wahyudi, quoted by Antara, Monday, May 16.
Bambang did not explain the reason for the decline in the number of tourists.
But what is certain is that the majority of tourists who come to the place come from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek).
"The majority of Jabodetabek," he said.
Thousands of tourists came to see the hundreds of types of animals provided by the Ragunan Wildlife Park.
Hundreds of species of animals consist of carnivores to herbivores.
As long as tourists enjoy animals, Bambang ensures that health protocols (prokes) at tourist sites are still implemented.
Some prokes provisions that must be implemented are that visitors are required to wear masks while in the area, must keep their distance, must use the PeduliLindung application.
Even the park management requires visitors to buy tickets online the day before visiting.
This is done so that the manager can limit the number of visits to the Ragunan Wildlife Park.
"So we limit it, we can't use full capacity," he explained.
Bambang hopes that with the tightening of the prokes, the potential for the creation of a COVID-19 cluster in the Ragunan Wildlife Park can be avoided.
