Don't Want To Get The Wrong Target, The Palembang City Government Waits For The Data Before Distributing Aid For School Supplies For Fire Victims
PALEMBANG - The Palembang City Government will distribute aid for school supplies for children affected by fires that occurred in their area. However, the Palembang City Government does not want this assistance to be misdirected.
For this reason, the Palembang City Government is waiting for data from the kelurahan so that this assistance can be accepted by those who really deserve it.
This was conveyed by the Deputy Mayor of Palembang, Fitrianti Agustinda, while reviewing the location of the fire in Lawang Kidul Village, Ilir Timur 2 District, Palembang, South Sumatra, Saturday, May 14. This area became a victim of a fire that occurred on Thursday, 12 May.
According to him, his party is currently collecting the number of children affected by the fire so that the distribution will be right on target.
"We will help fire victims with school uniforms and stationery, shoes and bags for them to go to school," Fitrianti said, as reported by Antara.
"We are currently waiting for the local kelurahan to collect data, hopefully what the government provides can ease their burden," he added.
He later admitted that he was very concerned about the conditions that had occurred recently, at least there were already dozens of houses destroyed by fire in a number of areas so that many residents were forced to evacuate.
The Palembang City Government specifically appealed to residents to increase vigilance so that this incident does not happen again.
"Hopefully this will be a lesson so that you always don't leave the house with the stove or flammable electric appliance alive," he said, as well as thanking all those who volunteered to help the affected Palembang residents.
On the same occasion, Fitrianti said, in addition to aid for children who were victims of the fire, the Palembang City Government had also prepared an emergency post for victims. In addition, he also guarantees the management of damaged securities.
