Members Of The DPRD DKI Value Lurah And Camat Are Insensitive To Be The Cause Of The Emergence Of Cases Of Malnutrition
JAKARTA - Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from Commission D, Hardiyanto Kenneth, assessed that the sub-district and village heads were not sensitive to the conditions of their area as the cause of the emergence of cases of malnutrition such as happened in Kalideres, West Jakarta.
Kenneth, who is also a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PDI-P faction, suspects that the Kalideres case is not purely the fault of the West Jakarta Health Service, but arises because of the insensitivity of the Kalideres sub-district head and village head to the case.
"The West Jakarta Health Office only accepts reports and immediately takes action. In principle, it is impossible for the West Jakarta Health Office to know people who are sick if there are no complaints. The Kalideres sub-district and village heads should be more sensitive, they can maximize the roles of RT, RW and the Early Awareness Forum. Communities (FKDM) in their respective regions," said Kenneth as quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 12.
According to him, if the sub-district and lurah work optimally, it can certainly be anticipated from the start and there is no need for toddlers to be infected with malnutrition, because the main functions of early prevention and early detection of Threats, Challenges, Obstacles, and Disturbances (ATHG) as well as being a catalyst for local government programs, are automatically attached to the organizational bodies of RT, RW and FKDM.
"It is the sub-district and lurah's job to control and maximize their role, because RT, RW and FKDM must have valid data in their respective areas. My suggestion is that there needs to be an evaluation because local officials should know the condition of the local community," said the Chair of the Alumni Family Association. Lemhannas RI (IKAL) PPRA Batch LXII.
Regarding a two-year-old toddler on Jalan Lingkungan III, Tegal Alur Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta who has suffered from malnutrition since early April 2022, Kenneth regrets the incident considering that Jakarta has the most Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) when compared to the province. another.
"This is a very dramatic and very sad event, in the class of a big city like Jakarta there is still a toddler who is malnourished. I as a member of the DPRD who was elected from the West Jakarta constituency feel very sad and devastated, this should not have happened if the leader focused in caring for its citizens," said Kenneth.
Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of DKI Jakarta Province in 2020, the number of toddlers who have malnutrition is 6,047 toddlers.
In the case of malnutrition, the East Jakarta region contributed the highest cases of undernourished children under five, namely 1,826 cases, compared to other DKI Jakarta areas such as South Jakarta with 803 children under five, Central Jakarta with 989 children under five, West Jakarta with 1,823 children under five, and North Jakarta with 498 children under five. .
According to Kenneth, many factors have caused many toddlers in Jakarta to suffer from malnutrition, one of which is the economic factor that plagued families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has made a number of residents in Jakarta experience economic difficulties, this has an impact on the provision of nutrition to children under five. Lack of nutrition for these toddlers will have a very long negative impact. This will automatically result in toddlers in DKI Jakarta is prone to disease," said the Head of the PDIP DKI Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BAGUNA).
Regarding the case of malnutrition, Kenneth also regretted the attitude of Governor Anies, who is currently proud of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and the Formula E racing event, when many toddlers in Jakarta suffer from malnutrition.
"And the most dramatic thing, Anies is still brave and not ashamed to boast about JIS and Formula E, but there are still people who are malnourished. Anies does not focus on the welfare of the community and does not care about its citizens," he said.
