Booster Vaccination In West Aceh Forced To Stop, COVID-19 Vaccine Stock Is Empty

ACEH - Until today, Thursday 12 May, the stock of COVID-19 vaccine in West Aceh Regency is empty. As a result, the third or booster dose of vaccination for the people in the area was stopped.

"The vaccine stock is empty in West Aceh because many people are vaccinating while the stock is limited," said Head of the West Aceh District Health Office, Syarifah Junaidah in Meulaboh, quoted from Antara, Thursday 12 May.

According to him, the vaccine vacancy is currently being addressed by the local government, by taking the vaccine needs to the Aceh Provincial Health Office in Banda Aceh.

Syarifah Junaidah said that the pick-up of the vaccine to the capital city of Aceh province is to accelerate the availability of vaccines for people who need to inject vaccines for the second and third doses.

His party targets that the stock of COVID-19 vaccine in West Aceh Regency will be available again on Friday, May 13, after the vaccine arrives in the area.

He also explained that the targeted population for vaccination in West Aceh Regency currently reaches 155,150 people.

Meanwhile, people who received the first dose of vaccination were 148,364 people or 95.63 percent, the second dose was 122,531 people or 78.98 percent, and the third dose is now at 30,780 people or 19.84 percent.
