Ministry Of Religion Asks Regular Hajj Pilgrims Who Are Eligible To Depart This Year Immediately Confirm Departure
JAKARTA - The Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organization (PHU) of the Ministry of Religion, Hilman Latief, asked regular pilgrims who are entitled to depart this year to immediately confirm their departure.
"I ask that the pilgrims who have been determined to have the right to leave this year immediately prepare well. Don't forget to confirm their departure at the bank where they registered," Hilman said in a written statement, Wednesday, May 11.
It is known, the Ministry of Religion has released a list of names of regular pilgrims who are entitled to depart this year. In the latest 2022 hajj information, prospective pilgrims can check the list of names of pilgrims who are entitled to go through the www.haji.kemenag.go.id page
"Congregants can carry out the confirmation process from 9 to 20 May 2022," explained Hilman.
Hilman said the verification process was carried out to ensure that all departing pilgrims met the requirements set by Saudi.
The conditions are that the congregation is at most 65 years and 0 months as of June 30, 2022 and has received the COVID-19 vaccination.
Hilman said, Saudi Arabia has set the quota for Indonesia's hajj pilgrimage this year to only 100,051. This number consists of 92,825 quotas for regular pilgrims, 7,226 quotas for special pilgrims, and 1,901 quota for officers.
Hilman said, everything is reduced from the normal quota, so of course there are pilgrims who have paid off their fees in 2020 but have not been able to leave this year.
"I hope everyone cheers each other on. Congregants who departed gave encouragement to those who had not yet departed and prayed that they would soon have their turn," he said.
"Similarly, those who have not yet departed, encourage those who will depart this year and wish them good health and a Mabrur Hajj," added Hilman.
