After The Astroworld Tragedy, Travis Scott Will Make His First Appearance At The Billboard Music Awards 2022
JAKARTA - Travis Scott will perform at the peak night of the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. This will be his first public event after the Astroworld concert incident in November 2021 that left victims.
Billboard announced that several musicians would attend and sing at the awards ceremony. In addition to Scott, there are Ed Sheeran, Miranda Lambert, Becky G., Morgan Wallen, Florence + the Machine and Silk Sonic.
Travis Scott also received a nomination for the Top Dance/Electric Song category with his remix of Goosebumps.
Kylie Jenner's lover is slowly starting to appear in public after the Astroworld tragedy. At that time, 10 people were declared dead and several others were injured.
The week before, Travis Scott performed at the E11even club in Miami with Migos. He also duets with Kanye West through the song Pablo for West's latest album, Donda 2.
The lawsuit submitted by Astroworld visitors is also still ongoing. About 2,800 victims are suing Scott and the promoter for damages for negligence in managing the music festival.
As a form of reflection, Travis Scott founded a charity project for public safety and mental health.
“Creating opportunities for young people is something I want to do as long as I have the chance. This program will be a step change and I can't wait to bring you the technology and ideas we're working on. See you later," said Travis Scott.
The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will be held on May 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
