Good News From Bangka, Only 2 COVID-19 Patients Left
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) of Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, stated that there were only two COVID-19 patients in the area who were still undergoing treatment.
"The two remaining active COVID-19 patients are from Sungailiat Subdistrict and Belinyu Subdistrict," said Bangka Regency COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson Boy Yandra in Sungailiat, Tuesday 10 May.
Meanwhile, six sub-districts such as Merawang, Pemali, Riau Silip, West Mendo, Puding Besar and Bakam sub-districts were declared to have zero spread of the corona virus.
For two years, the spread of the corona virus in Bangka Regency recorded a total of 12,054 cases, 11,653 people were declared cured and 399 COVID-19 patients died.
"Of the thousands of cases of COVID-19 spread in eight sub-districts, it is known that the highest distribution rate is in Sungailiat District, reaching 4,943 cases, 4,806 recovered and 136 died," said Boy Yandra, quoted from Antara.
Meanwhile, the lowest distribution of cases was in Bakam Sub-district with 200 cases, 191 recovered and nine patients who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 died.
"I remind the public that they must be vigilant and remain disciplined in implementing the health procedures even though the spread of the corona virus is sloping, especially after Lebaran, where previously people met and shook hands," he said.
