Having A Good History In Catalunya, Max Verstappen's Podium Streak Is Expected To Continue In Spain

JAKARTA - Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen has performed brilliantly in two Formula 1 races and the last one to reach successive podiums after being the best at the inaugural Miami Grand Prix (GP) in the United States on Sunday (Monday WIB).

Before winning in Miami, Max Verstappen was able to become the best at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, Italy. With a double championship, the 24-year-old driver's position continues to overshadow Ferrari's Charles Leclerc at the top of the standings. Max with 85 points and Charles Leclerc with 104 points.

The achievement at the Miami GP clearly makes the team and supporters proud, one of which is Mobil Lubricants. The victory in Uncle Sam's country is expected to continue at the Spanish GP at the Catalunya Circuit, 22 May.

"For Max, there is a good history at the Catalunya Circuit, namely winning his first Formula 1 victory as the youngest driver to win a race. Max Verstappen again continued his positive record by winning the podium again in Formula 1 Miami 2022, Sunday (8/5). Despite having to start the race from third place, the performance of the RB18 showed its potential since overtaking the two Ferrari drivers in front, and it took only nine laps for Max to lead the race.

On the 5.4 km long track, in addition to lifting the trophy on the highest podium of F1 Miami, this Max was also able to carve the fastest time during the race, with 1:31.361 seconds. The 57 laps with a total of 308.3 km were completed in 1 hour 34:24,258 seconds.

"An amazing race at the Miami GP, very physically draining. But we were able to keep it fun until the end of the race." Max said.

Meanwhile, Sergio Perez, who has the potential to get on the podium, had problems chasing other racers who were really fast. His vehicle engine suddenly could not go fast, but fortunately not long, Perez returned to catch up until the end of the race.
