94,742 Tourists Visit Dieng During The 2022 Eid Holiday
JAKARTA - The government of Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java informed that during the Eid 1443 Hijri holiday, as many as 94,742 tourists visited the Dieng Plateau Tourism Area.
"Since D-1 Eid until today, the total number of visitors is 94,742 tourists," said Head of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Dieng tourism object, Banjarnegara Regency Tourism and Culture Office, Sri Utami in Banjarnegara, Sunday, May 8.
He added, as many as 94,742 visitors were recorded to have visited various destinations in the Dieng Plateau Tourism Area, such as Sikidang Crater, Arjuna Temple and various other attractions.
"Sikidang Crater and Arjuna Temple are the most visited destinations," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
Sri Utami also added that overall activities in the Dieng Plateau Tourism Area during the Eid holiday season ran safely, smoothly and conducively.
"The implementation of health protocols is also very strict, socialization about the importance of wearing masks, keeping a distance, washing hands and staying away from crowds is also being carried out," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Banjarnegara Regency Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud) Agung Yusianto added, the Banjarnegara Regency Government is committed to realizing the smooth running of tourism activities in the local area during the Eid holiday.
"From May 4 to May 11, 2022, we will form a special team for Eid week to oversee tourism activities in Banjarnegara Regency, including in favorite destinations such as Dieng," he said.
The special team for Eid week, he added, consisted of various relevant agencies such as the Banjarnegara Regency Tourism Office, the Transportation Service, TNI, Polri, Satpol PP, to the local village government.
"This special team for Eid week is tasked with regulating the smooth mobility of tourists while in tourist attractions, including traffic to and from tourist objects," he said.
In addition, he said, a special team is also tasked with ensuring that the implementation of health protocols has gone well according to the rules that have been set.
"Thus preparations for the smooth running of tourism activities in Banjarnegara, including in the Dieng Plateau Tourism Area, have been carried out long ago and we ensure that until now tourism activities throughout this region are running safely and under control," he said.
