Good News For JIS 'Evicted' Residents, Anies Targets Development Of Kampung Bayam To Be Completed In September 2022
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan laid the first stone or groundbreaking for the construction of Kampung Bayam, Pademangan, North Jakarta, on Saturday, May 7.
Kampung Bayam, which will be built in the form of an apartment building, was previously a residential area that was evicted due to the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
Anies targets the 11.8-hectare settlement to be completed on time with the right quality. So, in September 2022 this construction can be completed.
"We entrust three things to all those who work on it, namely on budget, on schedule, and on quality. So, the housing will be the best and will be completed on time in September," Anies said as quoted in his statement, Sunday, May 8.
Anies views that the declaration of the Bayam Susun Village proves that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is carrying out a development that facilitates all, where residents get equal opportunities, including residents of Kampung Bayam who are near JIS.
"Everyone has the same opportunity for a bright future and the DKI Provincial Government upholds humanitarian equality which is manifested in a tangible form for the residents of Kampung Bayam," said Anies.
Anies then emphasized that later the development of the Kampung Susun Bayam will not eliminate the livelihoods or livelihoods of the residents, where previously many residents worked as urban farmers.
"Not only housing, but their livelihoods are planned by involving all. Later those who work as farmers can continue their profession, so that they become examples besides international standard stadiums, side by side with urban farming communities," he explained.
For information, Kampung Susun Bayam consists of 3 blocks or buildings with 4 floors that are intended for 135 families, plus 3 special housing units for the disabled, bringing a total of 138 residential units.
