Puan Admits Culinary Soto Typical Klaten That She Thinks Delicious, Not Available In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, recommends her favorite menu for people who want to enjoy Indonesian culinary delights during the Eid 2022 atmosphere. According to Puan, there is one culinary place for Soto, which is typical of Klaten, which she said doesn't exist in Jakarta.

"I like the soup there because the broth is fresh and authentic. Mas Gibran likes it," said Puan in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, May 7.

Puan has a number of favorite places to eat, almost all of which are simple food stalls. The chairman of the PDI-P DPP prefers simple food on the side of the road to luxury restaurants.

"Besides the price is cheap, the atmosphere and the taste of the food is also better," said Puan.

While it is currently still in the Lebaran moment, Puan also recommends her favorite Nusantara culinary to the public.

One of Puan's favorite places is Soto Ayam Gading 2 in Solo. Every time you visit Solo, you will definitely stop by that place. For example, in 2019, Puan ate her favorite soto accompanied by President Joko Widodo's son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Besides Solo, Klaten is also Puan's favorite place for culinary tours.

On one of her working visits to Klaten 2019, Megawati's youngest daughter also took the time to have simple culinary delights. Puan stopped by to enjoy the delicious fried chicken, chicken soup, clear soup, and baceman. He admits that he likes Klaten specialties such as soto and fried chicken.

"The food there is delicious and in Jakarta there is none," said Puan.

Puan's favorite Indonesian cuisine is certainly not only on the island of Java. Turning to the city of Palembang, pempek has also become one of the favorite foods of the grandson of the Proclaimer of the Republic of Indonesia.

You even have a subscription shop. Every time he visits Palembang, he will definitely stop by to buy pempek at the famous Pempek shop.

Even if she doesn't have the chance to go to Palembang, Puan usually orders pempek from that shop to be sent to Jakarta.

"The pempek is different from other pempek. It has a distinctive taste because it is made using belida fish," said Puan. Puan also likes North Sulawesi specialties. Various foods from the area such as skipjack tuna, woku-woku, to Manado porridge have always succeeded in attracting Puan's attention.

The canteen sells various Indonesian and foreign specialties. Puan admitted that she likes to eat meatballs and tapai glutinous rice.

"I have never tasted the deliciousness of sticky rice tape anywhere else. Others are inferior to Balsem sticky rice tape," said Puan .
