Bournemouth Midfielder David Brooks' Inspirational Story: Fighting From October 2021 To Being Declared Cancer-free Stage Two

JAKARTA - Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks has announced that he is now cancer-free. He also shared the story of the struggle against cancer on his official Twitter account.

The 24-year-old was diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin's lymphoma in October 2021. David Brooks has been undergoing regular treatment ever since.

After going through several months of treatment, David Brooks' battle with cancer finally ended sweetly. Doctors informed him of a positive result last week.

"It has been a few months since my last notification and at this moment I am grateful to have completed my cancer treatment," the Welshman wrote on Twitter.

"I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of the medical staff for their outstanding work and support throughout this process."

"Last week, I met with my specialist after reviewing my final test results. I am pleased to say the treatment worked and I can now say, I am now cancer free."

Brooks said the words felt really great to say. He also thanked his fans and those closest to him who always helped him through difficult times.

"I'm so excited to restart my journey to full fitness and continue my football career," he wrote.

"I'm determined to work my hardest over the next few months and I'm looking forward to getting back to Vitality and playing in front of you on the pitch in the not too distant future."
