D+1 Lebaran, 32,894 Homecomers Arrive At Gambir Station & Pasar Senen
JAKARTA - A total of 32,894 homecomers arrived at a number of stations in the Operational Area (Daop) 1 Jakarta on D+1 Lebaran or Wednesday, May 4.
Of this number, 11,387 people arrived at Gambir Station, 14,101 at Pasar Senen Station and the remaining 7,406 people at other stations such as Jatinegara, Bekasi, Cikampek and Jakarta Kota, according to data revealed by the Head of Public Relations of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Operational Area. The travelers who arrived in Jakarta included Betty and her boarding house partner. He arrived at Pasar Senen Station at around 8:20 a.m. from Surabaya Gubeng Station on Tuesday, May 3 evening.
Betty chose to go home early because she had to return to continue her internship at a company in the Jakarta area.
"I entered college on May 12 but had to do an internship, so go home now," he said when met at Pasar Senen Station as reported by Antara.
As for the current backflow or D+3 Lebaran, as many as 36 trains at Gambir Station and 8 of them are additional trains prepared for various relationships such as Yogyakarta, Solo, Kutoarjo, Purwokerto, Kebumen, Tegal, Semarang, Surabaya, Malang, Cirebon and Bandung.
The volume of departing passengers was recorded at 13,500 or 76 percent of the total available seats of 17,600. Meanwhile, for Pasar Senen Station, there are 29 trains in operation and 3 of them are additional trains. The volume of passengers departing from this station was recorded at 18,100 or 86 percent of the total available seats of 21,000.
People who just want to go home using the train mode can still get tickets.
Data from PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta noted, tickets are still available for alternative dates that are still close to the Lebaran moment, namely May 5 to May 7, 2022.
"For the time being, tickets on that date (5 May-7 May 2022) are still quite available even though the number of bookings continues to increase," said Eva.
The Lebaran transportation period for train travel is set to H-10 to D+10 Lebaran or April 22 to May 13, 2022 with a total number of seats of 819,620 units.
During that period, from the Daop 1 Jakarta area, there were around 64 long-distance train trips per day, with an average seating capacity of 37,625 per day (16,700 Gambir and 20,500 Pasar Senen).
