Sidoarjo Police Distribute Free Fuel For Motorcycle Travelers

JAKARTA - Sidoarjo East Java Police officers provide free fuel oil, especially for travelers who use motorbikes to feel safe and comfortable and safely arrive at their destination.

The Head of the Gakkum Satlantas Polresta Sidoarjo AKP Sugeng Sulistiyono in Sidoarjo on Sunday said that the provision of fuel to travelers who use two wheels is done so that travelers can run smoothly and comfortably during their trip.

"In order to make the trip smooth and comfortable, the Sidoarjo police provide free fuel facilities to dozens of homecomers driving two-wheelers who will go out of town," he said as quoted by Antara.

He said the action was carried out as an effort to pay attention to the public who are currently given permission to go home by the government after two years of not going home for Eid due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Hopefully everyone can safely arrive at their destination," he said.

He said that 75 liters of Pertalite and Pertamax fuel were provided free of charge for travelers using two-wheeled vehicles going out of town.

"In addition, we also distribute masks so that travelers still adhere to health protocols," he said.

As a result of this action, a number of travelers on two-wheelers who were going back and forth through the Medaeng area, Taman-Sidoarjo, were initially shocked and afraid when they were stopped by the joint military and police officers and the transportation service.

But in the end, he was able to smile because instead of being raided, he got free fuel from the police.

"I was afraid that I thought I was going to get a ticket. In fact, I was given free gasoline, thank God," said Ayu, one of the travelers.

The same thing was said by Andre, a homecomer from Surabaya who was going to Nganjuk. He was surprised that the officer suddenly stopped him and was given free fuel.
