Bogor Police Record 9 Prone Locations During Eid Takbir Night, Here's The List

BOGOR - The Bogor Resort Police (Resort), West Java, noted that nine areas were vulnerable during the night of Eid takbir 1443 Hijri, ranging from the potential for traffic jams due to the implementation of mobile takbirs to being prone to crime.

The nine vulnerable areas are the Parung-Kemang Intersection, Leuwiliang-Cinangneg Intersection, Ciawi-Gadog Interchange, Cibinong-Citeureup Intersection, Belanova-Babakan Madang, Cisarua Market, Cileungsi Intersection, Tegar Faith-Pakansari, and Atta'Awun Mosque.

Kasatlantas Polres Bogor AKP Dicky Pranata said that the vulnerabilities that occurred on takbir night, such as mass gatherings for takbir marches, firecrackers, and people shopping for necessities for Eid 2022.

"The factual threats are mass fights, traffic jams, traffic accidents, curat (theft by weight), curas (theft with violence), and theft," said Dicky in Cibinong, Antara, Sunday, May 1.

According to him, during the 2022 Ketupat Operation which was carried out in order to secure during the homecoming, backflow, and Lebaran 2022 holidays, the Bogor Police and related agencies deployed around 2,000 personnel to be on standby throughout the Bogor area.

Bogor Deputy Regent Iwan Setiawan appealed to the public not to carry out mobile takbirs because Bogor Regency is still under the status of level 2 community activity restrictions (PPKM).

He mentioned that the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of Bogor Regency has alerted personnel to anticipate security in the field related to mobile takbir activities.

"Even though COVID-19 has slowed down, we still have to maintain health protocols so that there will not be an increase in cases. However, if someone continues to carry out it (takbir around) we together with the TNI-Polri are ready to help keep it orderly," said Iwan.
