Lee Min Ho's First Drama Has Intimate Scenes, Pachiko Continues Season Two

JAKARTA - The drama series Pachinko will continue for a second season on Apple TV+. This Korean, Japanese and English drama is created, written, and executive produced by Soo Hugh.

Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Min Jin Lee, Pachinko follows a family of Korean immigrants across four generations as they leave their homeland with hopes of a brighter future.

Beginning in the early 1900s, the story is told from the point of view of Sunja, the matriarch of the family. "Words cannot express my joy at being able to continue telling the incredible story of this determined family," Hugh said in a statement to Variety, Saturday, April 30.

"I thank the amazing team at Apple and the Media Res studios for trusting and supporting this series, and to our passionate fans who have supported us. It's an honor to continue to work with this incredible cast and crew, " he added.

Hugh also serves as showrunner for the series. Kogonada and Justin Chon each directed four episodes in the first season, and also served as executive producers.

Michael Ellenberg and executive producers Lindsey Springer for Media Res, executive producers Theresa Kang-Lowe for Blue Marble Pictures and Richard Middleton are also executive producers.

Pachinko stars Yuh-Jung Youn as the older Sunja, Lee Minho as Hansu, Jin Ha as Solomon, Minha Kim as the teenage Sunja, and Anna Sawai as Naomi.

Furthermore, Eunchae Jung as young Kyunghee, Inji Jeong as Yangjin, Jimmi Simpson as Tom Andrews, Junwoo Han as Yoseb, Kaho Minami as Etsuko, Steve Sanghyun Noh as Isak, Soji Arai as Mozasu and Yuna as young Sunja.

In the first season, Lee Min Ho did the intimate scene for the first time in the drama Pachiko. The intimate relationship immediately became the subject of netizens' conversation. Especially after Ratten Tomatoes gave a perfect score.
