130 Thousand Vehicles Cross The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Police Perform Contra Flow Scheme
JAKARTA - A total of 130 thousand vehicles cross the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. This figure has increased by 35 percent when compared to the previous day, which was only 85 thousand vehicles.
"From the calculation of the Jasa Marga, currently 130,000 vehicles have crossed the toll road, an increase of about 35 percent from yesterday's figure of around 85,000," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo in his statement, Saturday, April 30.
Dedi said that until now his party has implemented traffic engineering by carrying out a two-lane contra flow scheme, namely to the east and one relaxation to the west.
"Currently, traffic engineering is being carried out from Jakarta to Cikampek, contra flow two lanes to the east and one relaxation to the west. (The result) KM 48 to Cikampek is currently in crowded conditions, (but) the flow is still running, "he said.
To ensure the smooth flow of homecoming today, Dedi together with the Operation Assistant to the National Police Chief, the Head of Korlantas, and the Dankor Brimob Polri will continue to monitor up to Bawean, Semarang using an Air Police Helicopter.
"Monitoring will be carried out to Cirebon, Brebes, Pekalongan, Kalikangkung KM 414 and Bawen Semarang," he concluded.
