Many Are Traveling, Bogor Peak Path Is Estimated To Be Crowded After Lebaran
BOGOR - Head of the Turjawali Satlantas Polres Bogor, Ipda Ardian, revealed that traffic jams had occurred at the Gadog Intersection, Ciawi, Bogor Regency, West Java, with vehicles snaking about 800 meters at times when people were hunting takjil.
"This is because many are selling takjil, so the flow to the top has stalled because there is a meeting with vehicles that want to break their fast, so there is a bit of traffic jam for about 800 meters," said Ipda Ardian at the Integrated Service Post for the Puncak Line, Simpang Gadog, Friday, April 29.
He considered, as happened in the previous days, the traffic flow would be quiet again after the Maghrib prayer.
"Usually after Maghrib it starts to get quiet. People start returning to their homes," said Ardian.
Meanwhile, Deputy Regent of Bogor Iwan Setiawan assessed that preparedness should be increased on D+1 to D+7 or during Eid holidays, especially on the Puncak route.
"Because Puncak is not a homecoming route, yes. But there are many tourist locations. So it is possible that after Eid there will be a density because many people want to go on vacation," said Iwan when reviewing the readiness of the Ketupat Lodaya Operation security post at Simpang Gadog.
Iwan also appealed to the public not to carry out takbir around on the takbiran night. This is to avoid traffic jams, as well as to avoid crowds.
"Still avoid crowds. However, Bogor Regency is still PPKM Level 2. So continue to prioritize health protocols and avoid crowds. We urge you not to take takbir around first," he said.
As of Friday, April 29 evening, the traffic flow on the Puncak Line was quite busy, especially at 16.30 WIB because it coincided with people going out to look for takjil to break their fast. Meanwhile, from morning until noon, it was quiet.
