Garut Police Use Alternative Kadungora - Cilawu To Avoid Vehicle Buildup On Main Route

JAKARTA - The Garut Police Resort has begun to use the Kadungora-Leles-Cilawu alternative route to overcome the diversion of the flow of homecoming vehicles from the Nagreg - Limbangan national route, West Java so that there is no accumulation of vehicles in one lane.

"We have started to divide the two because the volume of vehicles from the west is quite heavy starting from this morning after dawn, so we use the Kadungora and Cilawu alternatives," said Garut Police Chief AKBP Wirdhanto Hadicaksono, quoting Antara, Friday, April 29.

He said that in Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2022, the Garut Police and Bandung Police collaborated in regulating the flow of vehicle traffic on the national homecoming route across the south of West Java.

If there is a density of vehicles on the Limbangan route to Tasikmalaya, said the Head of Police, then the flow of vehicles from the Nagreg direction is diverted to the Kadungora route to use an alternative route to Tasikmalaya.

"Later in Kadungora we turn left to use an alternative route to Tutugan Leles so that there is no congestion on that route," he said.

He conveyed the diversion of the flow of vehicles from the national route to Kadungora if the volume of vehicles entering Limbangan was dense.

If there is an increase in the volume of vehicles in the Cileunyi area, Bandung Regency, said the Police Chief, the police in the Nagreg area will divert to Kadungora.

"It will be diverted to Kadungora if the vehicle discharge from the direction of Cileunyi is large and lasts a long time," he said.

He added that the ranks of the Garut Police have implemented a one-way system several times to attract vehicle traffic from Bandung to Tasikmalaya to avoid congestion on the Limbangan and Nagreg routes.

"We see that the Limbangan area is prone to traffic jams and it must continue to be unraveled," he said.*
