Midnight National Police Chief Monitors Homecoming: 5 Thousand Vehicles Pass On KM 48 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Per Hour

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said based on data that 58,000 vehicles had passed the KM 48 Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. In fact, thousands of vehicles passed every hour.

"The latest information so far is that approximately 52 thousand vehicles have crossed the toll road at KM 48 and then it has reached 5 thousand per hour," said Sigit to reporters, Friday, April 29, early in the morning.

However, it is believed that this number will continue to grow. Because referring to the estimates of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and Korlantas Polri, the peak of the homecoming flow will take place on April 29 and 30.

Therefore, traffic flow schemes such as odd-even and one-way will be maximized. Based on the plan, the two vehicle density decomposition schemes will be enforced again from 07.00 to 24.00 WIB.

"Tomorrow morning we will carry out one way again, if it was 17 o'clock then we will propose this, the priority is the odd one," said Sigit.

In addition, the National Police Chief said that his party would also focus on arterial or non-toll roads. Because, it is possible that community activities can disrupt the smooth running of the travelers.

"Of course, we also hope that monitoring in the arteries will really be maximized because indeed at the bottom there will of course be many markets spilling out and then other community activities so that both on toll roads and arteries can all be used," said Sigit.
