Deputy Speaker Of The House Considers Bareskrim's Steps To Be The Right One Without Confiscation Of Rossa's Gig Money In The DNA Pro Case

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from the Gerindra faction, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, assessed that the Bareskrim Police's move was correct not to confiscate singer Rossa's Rp172 million in the case of the DNA Pro trading robot.

Because according to him, Rossa only worked professionally as a singer who was invited to the DNA Pro event and received an honorarium.

"Indeed, that should be done because what Rossa, an art worker, is doing is professional work. She was asked to fill in the event and then there was a contract and then she was paid," said Dasco at the DPR building, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 26.

"We fully appreciate what the police have said," he continued.

The Gerindra politician emphasized that art workers like Rossa and others must be protected by law. Because art workers work professionally.

"We also convey to art workers to continue working, not later because this becomes an obstacle to work," concluded Dasco.

Previously, the Director of Special Economic Crimes, Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, confirmed that he had not confiscated the IDR 172 million that Rossa received, after filling out the DNA Pro trading event.

"Rossa did not hand over the money from her singing to the investigators, there was a contract as a professional, the investigators did not confiscate," Brigadier General Whisnu told reporters, Tuesday, April 26.

Investigators assessed that there was no malicious intent from Rossa regarding the flow of these funds.

"From the results of the examination and the evidence obtained by the investigators, they concluded that they did not find mens rea or malicious intent in the incident where the DNA Pro funds flowed to Rossa," said Whisnu.
