D-8 Lebaran Beef Price In Bekasi Regency Reaches Rp. 150 Thousand Per Kilo

JAKARTA - The price of beef at the Mangun Jaya Mini Market, South Tambun District, Bekasi Regency, has increased. The price of meat for one kilo is Rp. 150 thousand.

Supriyadi (65), one of the beef traders at Mini Market, said that beef prices have increased since a week after fasting.

"From the initial Rp. 130 thousand, then to Rp. 140 thousand, until now it has become Rp. 150 thousand," explained Supriyadi to VOI when met at the market.

The meat trader complained that the price of meat was increasing day by day. "If there is an increase there, we will just follow the supplier (beef), rather than not selling it later," he said. He admits that it is difficult to explain the increase in meat prices to buyers, especially if they are already customers.

"Yes, it's hard for us to explain to mothers, especially if we have a subscription, what we have is a number," he continued.

However, Supriyadi said that there are still many customers who want to buy beef ahead of Eid even though prices are getting higher.

On the other hand, the price of chicken meat is now priced at around Rp. 38 thousand to Rp. 39 thousand per kilogram, from the previous price of Rp. 35 thousand.
