Bali United Releases Gavin Kwan, Persib Keep Achmad Jufriyanto
JAKARTA - Persib Bandung maintain Achmad Jufriyanto in their squad for next season. The 35-year-old footballer was offered a two-year contract extension.
Maung Bandung announced the agreement on their official website on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Persib's decision to retain Jufriyanto was due to his important role in the club.
"Jufriyanto is still very much needed. He can be a team balancer between young and senior players, as well as a mentor for his juniors," said Persib Director Teddy Tjahjono in a written statement.
Jufriyanto's role with the Blue Prince so far is quite vital. The player with the number 16 back was also one of the four Persib team captains last season.
This announcement also answers the curiosity of supporters who predict that Achmad Jufriyanto will leave the club to follow Supardi's footsteps. Previously, Beckham Putra and Febri Hariyadi were also confirmed to remain at the club.
Meanwhile, Bali United actually announced the release of Gavin Kwan Adsit. The farewell to Gavin was announced by the Tridatu Sergeant team through their official social media page.
"Gavin Kwan and Bali United have agreed to end the collaboration. On behalf of the big family of Bali United, we thank you very much for your dedication and contribution that has helped us win Liga 1 2021/2022. We wish Gavin success in his next career journey," Bali wrote on their website. .
During the last season Gavin made 10 appearances in Liga 1. He was part of the squad that brought home the title of the highest caste of national football.
So far, it is not known with certainty the next destination for the 26-year-old player. However, some information says this Bali-born player will join Persis Solo in the new season.
