Quick Capture by Google KeepIf you have a habit of taking lots of notes on your Android device, the Quick Capture widget from Google Keep is a lifesaver. With this widget, you can quickly select the type of note you want to create without having to go into the app.
The widget lets you choose from five types of notes including text notes, lists, audio notes, images, and photo notes. By default, the widget uses 3x2 tiles on your home screen, but you can resize it to 2x1, 3x1, or 4x1 depending on your preference.
Find Nearby Places Quickly & Share Location with Google MapsQuickly Find nearby places by Google Maps widget helps you navigate your neighborhood faster by displaying recommended tiles such as Home, Restaurant, Coffee and Hotel.
By default, the widget uses 3x2 tiles on the home screen, but you can resize it to 2x2 or 4x2. You can see a minimum of four and a maximum of eight recommendations.
World by Google JamAs the name suggests, the World widget by Google Clock is a simple world clock. While other clock widgets are more limited, Google Clock lets you add a large number of cute cities up to 32 cities
You may not really need this feature, but it's still a great tool for showing the time of several cities at once. By default, the widget takes up 4x2 tiles on your home screen, but you can resize it to almost any configuration.
Google News WidgetMany use Google News to catch up on relevant news. If you're one of them, you can use the app's widgets to view interesting headlines about topics you are interested in. Recommendations are based on what Google knows about you.
This widget also has a built-in weather tool to tell the temperature. You can skip the title if you find it uninteresting or tap Full Coverage if you like it and want to read the whole article. The widget takes up 4x2 tiles on the home screen and cannot be resized.
Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides WidgetsIf you are someone who is heavily invested in Google Workspace products and uses Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides on a daily basis, it might be helpful to place their respective widgets on your home screen.
Each widget takes only 1x1 tiles and helps you quickly create new documents, spreadsheets or presentations.
Quick Action by Google DriveWith the Drive by Google Drive quick actions widget, you can quickly search, upload, or scan files in your Google Drive. The widget takes up 3x1 tiles by default but can be resized to 2x1, 3x2, or 4x1. It has the same look as the Google Keep Quick Capture widget.
In the widget, you'll see five different buttons that give you shortcuts to common tasks:
Drive: Open the Google Drive app. Search: Search for files in your Drive. Upload: Upload files from your phone storage to your Drive. Camera: Take a photo and save it directly to your Drive. Add: Create a new folder, Docs, Sheets, or Slides to store in your Drive.
