COVID-19 Update As Of April 20: New Cases Of 741, Recovered Increases To 4,635 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 133,105 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 741 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,042,010 and active cases have fallen by 3,931 to 49,022," said Health Ministry data, Wednesday, April 20.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,635 people, bringing the total to 5,840,945 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 37 cases and totaled 155,974 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 231 cases and a total of 1,246,233 cases. Followed by West Java which has 158 new cases with a total of 1,104,581 cases. Banten has 85 new cases and a total of 291,952 cases. Central Java has 57 new cases and a total of 626,526 cases.

DI Yogyakarta has the province with the most recovered cases today with an additional 2,368 recovered cases. Followed by West Sumatra with an additional 930 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 412 recovered cases, and DKI Jakarta with an additional 265 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 94,443,369.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.25 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 4,099 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 198,478,663 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 163,180,128 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 32,283,358. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
