New Port Needs To Be Built In North Penajam Paser Welcoming IKN
PENAJAM - A port for mooring fishing boats needs to be built in the North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, to prepare fish supplies for the planned relocation of the State Capital or a new IKN called Nusantara in the local area.
"We need a mooring port area for fishing boats equipped with a TPI (fish auction place)," said Head of the North Penajam Paser Regency Fisheries Service, Andi Trasodiharto in Penajam, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 20.
According to him, the strategic location for the construction of a fishing boat mooring port and TPI is in Api-Api Village, Waru District, North Penajam Paser Regency.
Api-Api Village is strategically located for the construction of a fishing boat mooring port equipped with TPI, because there is already a Fisherman's Fuel Filling Station or SPBN. The access road to the location in Api-Api Village is quite good and the available land has the status of the North Penajam Paser Regency Government.
The construction of the mooring port for fishing boats equipped with the TPI, he said, requires a large budget because it needs to build an anchoring pool for breaking waves.
Therefore, it is hoped that the support of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries or KKP to realize the construction of fishing boat mooring ports and TPI in Api-Api Village.
Fishing boat mooring ports equipped with TPI need to be prepared early on to support fish needs in the new Indonesian IKN. There is no modern fishing mooring port in North Penajam Paser Regency, only traditional fishing boat mooring ports.
"The need for fish in the national capital is quite large, so from now on it must be planned to build a fishing mooring port equipped with TPI to support IKN," he said.
"The fishing boat mooring port will be beneficial for fishermen in North Penajam Paser Regency and Balikpapan City," said Andi.
