Almost Flat To The Ground, 4 People Buried By The Collapse Of Alfamart In South Kalimantan Survived, 9 Died
Jakarta - The Alfamart mini market building in Gambut District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan collapsed instantly. The building is almost level with the ground.
The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) reported that a number of people were buried under the collapsed Alfamart building. The evacuation process has been carried out by a joint SAR Team since Monday, April 18 afternoon.
"Monday (18 April) afternoon at 17.00 WITA a mini market building collapsed causing victims to be trapped. The Banjarmasin rescue team who arrived at the location immediately coordinated with joint elements and continued to evacuate 4 victims," said Basarnas on its official Twitter account, @SAR_NASIONAL , Tuesday 19 April.
The joint SAR team continues to drill the collapsed buildings to save the lives of the victims buried under the rubble. From the evacuation process until 21:45 WITA, 8 victims were found safe and 1 died.
"The team managed to evacuate 8 victims safely and 1 died," said Basarnas.
The search for victims of the Alfamart collapse continues to be carried out by the joint SAR Team to ensure that there are still victims trapped or not.
After trying to drill and lift the rubble, 2 victims, 1 survived and 1 died, were found by the joint SAR team at 07.50 WITA, Tuesday 19 April morning.
Thus, the victims of the Alfamart collapse in Banjarmasin temporarily died 3 people, 9 people survived and 1 person is in search.
Entering the second day, the search is still ongoing for one victim who is said to be still crushed by debris. Until finally the victim was successfully evacuated in a state of death at 09.35 WITA, Tuesday 19 April.
